Co-Organiser for ENPAD’s 6th Network Meeting from 23rd from 25th of March 2018 

The European Network of People of African Descent – ENPAD is approaching its 6th Network Meeting for People of African Descent in March 2018 in Bonn/ Cologne, Germany. ENPAD is a trans-European Network that brings together Black-led organisations in Europe to actively share their knowledge, campaign together and push for the political empowerment and representation of People of African Descent in Europe.

For the organisation, preparation and hosting of ENPAD’s 6th Network Meeting we are looking for a Co-Organiser of the event. Starting February 1st to April 30th, 2018:

Key information:

  • Place of work: Flexible in Europe
  • Consultant contract from 1st of February to 30th of April 2018
  • 2 days per week, in March 3 – 4 days per week (30 working days in total)
  • compulsory attendance at the Network Meeting from 23rd from 25th of March 2018 in Bonn/ Cologne, Germany (residency at the event venue)
  • Day rate: 110 € incl. tax

Role description:

The logistics coordinator will be the person that makes the Network Meeting happen by supporting and leading the logistics and operations into, during and after the Meeting. They will turn all of the planning work into action and act as the main point of contact for the participants.

Your role before the Network Meeting includes:

  • Managing the relationship with the venue
  • Managing the project planning of delivery
  • Leading on providing travel for participants, staff and trainers
  • Leading on catering and dietary requirements
  • Leading on accessibility, translation or childcare needs
  • Leading on the logistics of delivery of the Network Meeting, including schedules and roles.
  • Leading on managing risk and contingency planning
  • Supporting the communication strategy around the Network Meeting

At the Network Meeting:

  • Manage the arrival process and coordinate and resolve transport issues
  • Manage the food and refreshments during camp
  • Be the point of contact for arrivals including trainers
  • Run the daily schedule for the meeting
  • Run social media at camp

After the Network Meeting:

  • Leads on accounting and reimbursement
  • Responsible for drafting report for funders
  • Supports the process of follow-up after the Network Meeting
